GIBBS FARM Gibbs Farm is ideally located at Karatu, making it an excellent base for safaris to Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and even Serengeti National Park. Among the oldest guesthouses in Northern Tanzania, Gibb's Farm was built by German settlers in 1929 and remains a charming, well-looked-after-private house with roaring fires and friendly hospitality. Extensive coffee fields, a dairy, pig farm and 10 acre vegetable, fruit & herb gardens surround the Farmhouse and intimate cluster of cottages. Accommodation A total of 22 rooms, with 14 newly upgraded Farm Cottages ? each nestled in floral gardens, with private verandah, panoramic views, beautiful garden bathroom and wraparound fireplace, making Gibb?s Farm a sanctuary for the Senses. Each cottage has a name, chosen for the cottage?s particular location or specific history. Cottages feature rich wooden floors and classic interiors, with panoramic wraparound windows. COUNTRY LODGE

Welcome to Country Lodge Karatu, offering country comforts for the safari traveler. Brought to you by the same people who created Bougainvillea Safari Lodge, Country Lodge is the ‘little sister’ situated right next door.
Slightly more modest in style, but offering everything one could ask for in a lodge, Country Lodge offers a bit of fresh air on the safari circuit. Spacious rooms all include a fireplace and are tastefully furnished with netted king or twin beds, tables, writing desk and camp chairs. There is plenty of storage in the dressing area and the unique bathroom and stone shower are supplied with lots of fluffy towels. Comfortable outdoor furniture invites cozy seating on the cottage verandas.
There are eleven double cottages surrounding a grassy garden full of flowers, trees and tropical shrubbery. Our welcoming dining room, bar and sitting area are near reception and there’s also seating on the verandah of the main building. The food is Reggie’s: legendary, wholesome and delicious!
The eleven cottages house two rooms each. Our spacious rooms are simply and tastefully furnished, providing everything you need and nothing you don’t. Some rooms have king sized beds and some have twins. If you need a triple room we can provide that also.

Relax on comfortable outdoor furniture on the verandah and enjoy the lush garden setting, watch the sun rise or set before heading out on your safari or retiring to our main lodge for breakfast or drinks and dinner.

TLOMA LODGE

Tloma Lodge is an exclusive 20 Cottage lodge situated within the Ngorongoro Highlands Area. Its positioned on the raised shoulder of a valley, offering breathtaking views over a coffee-plantation and onto the Eastern wall of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

PLANTATION LODGE

Plantation Lodgeis located in the heart of the African Bush and surrounded by the coffee plantations. The lodge gives its guests both the excitement of a safari and the comforts of luxury accommodation. Plantation Lodge is set on a working coffee and arable farm just outside Karatu, a short drive from Lake Manyara and less than an hour from Ngorongoro Crater. The lodge, an intimate bush home, is also very near Lake Eyasi. Each of its bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom and there are wood burning stoves in each of the sitting rooms, which is particularly welcome between June and early September when it can be quite cold in the evenings.
Accommodation

• The lodge has only 16 rooms. The elegant rooms are well thought out with large beds, and it is immediately obvious that the place has been designed and decorated by someone with a great eye for detail.
• Rooms have their own individual style; designed to give maximum relaxation after dusty safaris. Each room has its own veranda and bathroom and is designed with African-safari antiques, arts and crafts.

Facilities

• Outside there are very pretty gardens with views over the adjacent farm land. The swimming pool area is where guests can relax while sipping sundowners after a dusty and unforgettable safari.
• The lodge operates a shop with African products & post cards. Four Dining areas guarantee privacy, if specially booked.

KIFARU LODGE

Its set on the edge of the forest reserve in the farmland outside Karatu.
From Ngorongoro Crater and Highlands, its about 24-hours drive from the camp and from Lake Manyara National park, it's a 40-minutes drive.
Despite of being a small and very low-key lodge, it has a good intimate and friendly atmosphere all needed to enjoy yourself.

The rooms are simply decorated and not large enough. However, hey are conveniently placed in a comfortable area with a fireplace and a small ensuite bathroom. People eat together in a group in a central dinning room and accommodation is divided into 3 separate houses.  At a time the lodge takes 20 people maximum. To the edge of Manyara rift wall, there are stunning views over the Mubu high lands (Southeast).

During the morning time, Kifaru can be stuck in cold especially in July and August since its almost 7500 ft high. Despite of that, it’s the reason as t why the gardens are extremely fertile, giving birth to very high and quality yields of vegetables, fruits and many others, which they supply to the lodge kitchen and many other hotels in the area.
It’s a better place to spend your night between Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. The camp also offers great lakes to the local area as its in many other camps in Karatu lodge.

FARM HOUSE

Ngorongoro Farm House is a small and exclusive lodge facing the Oldeani Volcano, about five kilometers from the Ngorongoro Lolduare gate .It is a perfect stopover within any safari in the Northern Circuit of Tanzania Recreation:

Ngorongoro Farm House offers a total of fifty large chalte rooms of which nineteen are twins, twenty three kings eight triples and six rooms are interconnecting
